Get ready for some wintertime fun on Saturday, December 20, for the 5th annual Glühwein Gallop 5k Run/Walk! The route will begin and end at Carmel Christkindlmarkt, and the race starts at 9:00am. Race packet pickup will be Thursday, Dec. 18 AND Friday, Dec. 19 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at the Runners Forum in Carmel (620 Station Drive). On race day, packet pickup will be from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Winter Pavilion.
The Glühwein Gallop draws its name from the German word Glühwein (pronounced 'glue vine'), which translates to "glowing wine" in English. Glühwein is a delicious mulled wine that is served warm in different flavors. Glühwein and its special mugs are one of the biggest attractions each year at the Market.

Awards will be offered for overall winner and age-groups. Additionally, there will be a costume contest for participants - and the wackier the costume, the better! This event is open to all ages and abilities. Get registered today!

Participants (21+) can redeem the tear-off tag on their race bib for one complimentary serving of Glühwein or beer! This must be redeemed within the festival, immediately after finishing the 5k.
Be sure to have your photo ID with you!

Kinderpunsch and other non-alcoholic drink options are also available.
This beautiful 5k course will start/finish at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, traveling on the Monon Trail and past the shops along Main Street and Rangeline Road.
Once you finish, you'll be at the market, which opens at 12:00 p.m.
We love our four-legged friends, but for everyone's safety, dogs are not allowed on the course. Thank you.
Get into the holiday spirit and wear your most festive outfits! At the end of the event, awards will be given for our favorite costumes!
Participants are encouraged to go overboard, so put together the best costume you can!
